To receive the best value for your used jewelry pieces, it is recommended to trade towards a new Martinus design. We will recycle and establish the value of your precious metals at the current market price. Without charge; we can weigh and determine 10 karat - 22 karat gold or platinum, explain costs and the expected melting results through the recycling process.



Or alternatively, (for personal or sentimental reasons), you may choose to have your own gold re-melted into any desired karat quality at the Martinus Studio. The additional fee for this service is approx. $45 - $70.

As a designer, it is my pleasure to offer decades of experience dealing in; classic facetted gems, cabochons, semi-precious and rare gemstones, diamonds and naturally exquisite pearls. The Martinus Studio offers evaluations and sensitive advice for re-designing with your special gemstones.

*Please understand that for various reasons we do not buy our customer’s used gemstones.

CLEANING YOUR JEWELRY

Everyone loves radiant, sparkling gemstones! Dirt, dust, soaps and sweat are the common unwanted sources of build-up on your jewelry. Removing these dulling effects from your adornments!

Here is how: Place your ring or piece in a small pot with 1 Tblsp. of powdered laundry detergent and 2 cups of water. While heating up on the stove the foam will do the work for you. *IMPORTANT: Let everything cool down before rinsing with cool water! – This should remove any debris or film on your precious metal and gem stones; diamonds, rubies, sapphires, tourmalines, aquamarines, citrines.

*CAUTION: Emeralds and Opals are too sensitive to heat and detergent. *CAREFUL: Coral, Pearls, and other natural materials like Ivory and Amber must be cleaned with a fine brush and warm dish soap. Gold, Silver and Platinum can be polished up with a special cloth.

For impeccable results, (with a basic fee $10), we will polish your piece in our polisher and create brilliant sparkle with our ultrasonic machine.
