This increasingly rare, ancient technique offers expression and distinction for your designs. Chasing can be used in beautifully modern, innovative ways and is based on a balanced mind-body process between control and letting go.
3. Model-Making
Casting – The Essential Prep. Think inside and outside the mold! Learn how to achieve; intricate components for your precision models in wax carvings or silver originals. Find out how the quality of your castings depends upon rubber molds of different densities or multiple layers.
4. Clasp-Making
Demystify the invisible! Make functionality attractive by creating reliable mechanisms for necklaces, chains or bracelets. Classic techniques are combined with a systematic design approach. You choose the project - we’ll make it click!
5. Hinging
Perfection at every turn! Understand the essentials & avoid common traps while adding beauty and dynamic functionality to your designs. (Even beginner students will benefit from a well balanced mix of theory and bench work). Experienced students will have questions … answered!
6. Platinum
Superior techniques for the ultimate metal. Caution: platinum requires advanced technical skills. It’s a fashionably sleek, industrial look that involves an extreme melting point. Patience, precision and understanding silver, gold, and white gold fabrication are critical to upgrade your skills to the platinum level.
7. The Trouble Shoot
Bring along your toughest questions and studio habits. Martinus will offer sincere coaching to improve your proficiency with tools and techniques. Learn how to analyze your process and free yourself from common traps.
