Martinus Studio

Let me introduce you to the lovely people who assist me with clear visions, clever hands and creative minds to make great pieces for you.
–Martinus-

Alex Lyons

Alex began making and designing jewelry in 1999 while traveling in Europe. A regular vendor at the Salt Spring Island Saturday Market, Alex signed up for one of Martinus’ weekend classes in 2004 to get some tips from the master – this lead to an apprenticeship position and finally freelance work … Alex has been working here ever since.

Artist’s Perspective
”When designing a piece it’s important for me to express a kind of whimsy – fun, friendly, bold and outgoing are words that have been used to describe my pieces. Connecting with people is important to me and I want my designs to communicate this. I like when a piece of jewelry sparks a conversation or when it reveals something about the wearer’s personality”.
